5 Tips For Finding The Perfect Family Car

“Disclaimer- This is a sponsored post, however all thoughts & opinions are that of my own.”

The decision to purchase a family car is a big one & with the amount of time you’ll be spending in it & all the memories you’ll no doubt be creating. Like bringing your newborn baby home to long road trips for a family break away, multiple trips to & from the supermarket, school runs, children’s activities, the list is never ending.

All of these memorable events have one thing in common- Your Family Car. So it’s too risky to make this decision lightly.

Don’t worry, while it is a big commitment, it isn’t as hard as it seems. Here are my 5 tips to help you find the perfect family car:

This is the not so nice step but it is important in finding the perfect car for your family. Before you even begin searching for a car, I would always recommend setting a budget to know what you can & can’t afford.

The most important tip I can give you for finding a car is doing the right research. You can’t make the right purchase without knowing the facts about the make, model, & price of your car. I have found that is a great resource for learning about your potential purchase. Their website has a huge selection of information that will provide you with everything you need to make an informed choice.

After you have found the car that you like, it is essential to check up on its reviews regarding safety. Make sure to research about its crash & child protection scores. What I love about is that they have a videos & review feature. They provide thorough reviews & essential information about a wide variety of cars & most importantly, they tell you straight. There’s no hiding away from the bad reviews of certain cars. Because of this, I recommend you begin your car research here.

Car Seats

If you have small children & require car seats, Isofix fixings are the best option. Most cars these days do have Isofix fixings built into them, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find one that you like. Isofix allows you to plug the car seat into the car making it safer than using a seatbelt for your child’s car seat.

For practical purposes, you will want your new family car to have plenty of room. If you're still lugging pushchairs around with you on family outings, you'll want to pick a vehicle with a good size boot space. If you are anything like our family & take lots of trips away, you will want to think about space to not only accommodate your pushchair, but also all the luggage that you will all need.

And there you have it, my 5 tips to helping you find the perfect family car, did these tips help you? Have you got any other tips for shopping for a new family car? Let me know in the comments below! :)
